First presentation 12th March 2008

One of the first things that we did was a presentation in Stenden Hogeschool for companies, teachers, students and others. Everything started two weeks before the presentation when Alenka, Jose and Isaias decided that they will be the presenters. They made a speech and started to practice. The D-day began in a supermarket with buying ingredients for the food after the presentation. When we were deciding what to cook we said Indian food has to be. And it was: tortilla de patatas with Dutch sweets!!! J Till four o’clock in the afternoon the food was ready, we were dressed so we went to the university. Preparation of the hall and food was brief so we started with the final rehearsal. At six o’clock in the afternoon when the hall was full the presentation started. Our competition the Burundi group started first and after the stage was ours. Alenka opened our presentation with a quick quiz about India and a short presentation. Jose continued with description of the school in India and Isaias’ part was about financial aspect and how we will fulfil it. After the presentation everything was about the good Indian food. We also discussed with teachers, students and other who wanted to find out more information about the project, the foundation that we work with, about the presentation itself and other topics regarding the project Kashi Mandir.
